Baxter's story began about a year before he became a part of our family. You've heard the question which came first Baxter or the Corgi Trivet/Cutting Board? The answer is our Corgi Trivet/Cutting Board. In May of 2017 we were commissioned by Red Elephant Farms (Facebook) to create a Corgi shaped Trivet/Cutting Board. Red Elephant Farms breeds AKC Corgi's. As part of the welcome home care package to families purchasing a cute little Corgi puppy, they also receive a Corgi Trivet/Cutting Board. The design for this board is actually Baxter's Dad, Razzle. It was then that we also began selling the Corgi Trivet/Cutting Board at Arts and Crafts Shows.

About a year after we began selling the Corgi Trivet/Cutting Board, and a few visits to Red Elephant Farms, we fell in love with the cute little Corgi puppies. Red Elephant Farms had a Corgi (Baxter) which had previously found his forever home, but life circumstances brought him back to the farm. He was just over three years old, and Molly & I were blessed with this little guy, our Baxter.

Baxter loved walks, going for rides in the car, and going to Craft Shows. He loved the crowds at Craft Shows, and people loved him. "Can I get a picture with your Dog?" It was the never ending question we heard when at shows.
Years went by, and Baxter became more and more a part of our family. Morning walks with Pops, afternoon walks with Mama. Baxter had a special "Wookie" barking talk he would do to get attention or to beg to be pet again.
Unforeseen by any of us, Baxter started not being his normal self. After a few trips to the veterinarian, Baxter was diagnosed with cancer. Once diagnosed, he went down hill rapidly, and within 10 days he was gone.

Gone, but not forgotten. Not a day goes by we aren't reminded of Baxter and the joy he brought us. It's the little things like nose smudges on the windows, finding a toy hidden away, the empty bed next to ours. Even GreyCee our kitty walks around looking for and missing him too.
It is because of our Love for Baxter, and what he meant to us, we have created the Baxter Memorial Block. A dog bone engraved with Baxter's name, his birthday and death date, and two lines of special remembrance to Molly and I. We miss him, and don't want to forget how much he meant to us.
Knowing how much Baxter meant to us, and how we want to remember him, we know you too may have lost a special pet in your family. Click on the link to learn how you can order a "Baxter" Memorial Block, personally engraved for remembering the loss of your family furbaby.
